I was browsing through some items in a newly built 99 cent store near our house and found some cool and interesting items, one of them is a cute pair of mukluks that I admire so much, I bought it and decided to add it as a decoration in my bookcase; here some cool things I learned about mukluks and the history of it as well. These boots are made from animal skin particularly seal and reindeer skin, making it extremely useful against the ravaging cold these natives need to face; these animals were also hunted for food and hence, it is ingenious for them to use the skin as clothing, the design of the of the boots cover the feet to the knees making it a very effective shield.   Mukluks can be embellished with fur of rabbit, fox, bear and other animals and aside from being used as an adornment to the boots, fur adds insulation which is very vital to keeping the legs warm and protected from the cold weather. Since these boots are used by the aborigines that hunted animal, they are required to be able to move fast and there is no better way to do this than to develop boots that will permit them to move, hence these boots are quite soft and accessories were put up to make it stronger as well. There is an assortment of mukluks, one is the conventional mukluks which bear native innovations called the Inuit boots these inuit boots are made of animal skin bound collectively by an animal cartilage with a seam at the center running down at the inferior of the shoe; another type of mukluks is with soft leather sole that is generally used as leg warmers, On the other hand, nowadays, the mukluk boots are designed founded on the conventional ones only they are made with tough rubber roles and man-made lining.
